Mercedes-Benz to roll out 50,000th car on January 28
Car News 1
Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will roll out its 50,000th car from its Pune facility on January 28. The vehicle is a C-Class and will be called the Grand Edition. It is expected to be based on the C-Class C220 CDI and may have a similar feature package as the C-Class C-Edition that was launched in November last year Mercedes-Benz began operation in the sub-continent in 1995 and locally assembles the C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, ML-Class, GL-Class and is soon expected to start assembling the A-Class and B-Class. We expect that this car will get external changes in the form of AMG-spec alloy wheels, tinted headlights as well chrome highlights for the grille and exhaust. Inside, we can expect leather upholstery, touch screen infotainment system and features like ATTENTION ASSIST, ABS-EBD with brake assist, ESP, PRE SAFE and tyre pressure monitoring system. The C-Class Grand Edition will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 170bhp and 400Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7G tronic automatic gearbox. Since this is expected to be a one off model, we expect special badging and one happy Mercedes-Benz customer whose car will look unique for the rest of his or her ownership existence.
